WORDFEUD!
The game that one man copied and made it even better!
What is Wordfeud: A game that is a clean copy of the board game Scrabble. The only difference between this game and board game is that you can only play against one other person. In Scrabble, it is up to 4 people who can participate. But it has no impact on the game. In fact, it would be quite confusing with several opponents when the board is small enough in the first place.
What Wordfeud is about is that you create words and get the most points out of them. It has a board with many squares, and some of them got a shortened words such as: DL, which stands for Double Letter. That is double letter score. Here you will get the sum of the letter that lands on DL doubled. Then we have the TL, which does exactly the same job as the DL, but that is triple letter points.
Then we have the DW, which stands for Double Word. You get points for a word doubled. The same is with TW, Tripple Word. 3 times the score of the word.
You get dealt 7 letters, and when to use one or more of them will automatically have new characters. One must always have 7 letters to choose from. Each letter has a number in the right corner. This number shows the points you get when you use the letter. If you use more than one letter then adds one compares all the numbers and you get the total score for the word.

Wordfeud: This is what the board looks like. (Bilde: iAppworld) |
When the game starts the person who begins make a word that goes trough, ends or starts at the star in the middle of the playingboard. When the word is chosen, it is your opponent's turn. The opponent must then make a word based on the first word that is already there. You can not make a word freely. The word you make will need to use one or more of the letters already on the board. You can not make words diagonally, but only horizontally or vertically. The more letters you use the more points you get.
Now you can try for yourself and download this addictive game!
And remember, try to hit as many DL, TL, DW, and TW-routes as possible with a word!
AND, do not cheat! There is an app called "Wordfeud Helper" that finds the words for you by using the 7 letters you have, and then finds the word with the most points.
We will write about this app later!
Good luck, and continue to read our blog!
This game has been around for a while, so we do not present the game as new.
